A delightful mint and mango mocktail version of the traditional Brazilian cocktail, the Caipirinha.
Ingredients:
1 lime, cut into wedges
2 tablespoons brown sugar or granulated sugar
1/4 cup sparkling water or soda water
1/4 cup mango juice
Ice cubes
Lime slices (for garnish)
Instructions:
In a sturdy glass, muddle the lime wedges and sugar together until the lime juice is released and the sugar dissolves slightly.
Fill the glass with ice cubes.
Pour the mango juice and sparkling water or soda water into the glass.
Stir gently to combine the ingredients and dissolve the remaining sugar.
Garnish with lime slices for an extra touch of freshness.
Serve the mocktail Caipirinha and enjoy its vibrant flavors!
Note: The traditional Caipirinha cocktail uses cachaça, a Brazilian spirit made from sugarcane, as its base. In this mocktail version, we substitute cachaça with sparkling water to create a non-alcoholic alternative. If you'd like to "break new ground" and stiffen your caipirinha, we recommend using Leblon cachaça. If you prefer a sweeter mocktail, you can add more sugar according to your taste preferences.
