Event Safety & Security Policy

as required by All About Presentation

Police are required if one of any of the following event details are true:

  • Private or registration required event that has 250+ registrants

  • The event is open to the public and the expected attendance exceeds 50 people

  • The event is open to the public, and alcohol is being served or sold

  • The number of attendees could impact local traffic or public transportation.

  • High-profile events with VIP or celebrity attendees require additional protection and crowd management.

  • Controversial events or those with politically or socially charged themes that might attract protestors or dissenters.

  • Parades, marches, or public demonstrations.

  • Events requiring road closures, rerouting, or management of heavy vehicular traffic.

  • Venues with limited parking necessitate officers to manage parking flow and potential disputes.

  • Where there’s an enhanced focus on child safety and potential issues related to lost children.

  • History and past incidents that the event, or similar events, experienced security issues, altercations, or significant disruptions in the past.

EMS is required if one of any of the following event details is true:

  • The event has 250+ registrants.

  • The demographics of the audience warrant EMS (elderly, children, vulnerable)

  • Outdoor events are exposed to the elements, especially in extreme hot, cold, or wet conditions.

  • Sporting events, especially those involving high-intensity activities, contact sports, or extreme sports.

  • Events where attendees partake in physical activities or challenges, such as marathons, obstacle courses, or dance festivals.

  • Alcohol is being served.

  • Local regulations or insurance providers that mandate the presence of EMS.

Fire Dept is required if one of any of the following event details is true:

  • Events involving pyrotechnics, fireworks, or open flames (e.g., concerts, festivals).

  • Cooking events, food festivals, or BBQ competitions where multiple open flames or heating equipment are in use.

  • Events showcasing vehicles or equipment with combustion engines.

  • Stage setups with complex electrical wiring or use of flammable props.

  • Events requiring large-scale lighting, heating, or power generation equipment.

  • Events that occur during seasons or times of increased fire risk, such as dry periods or windy conditions.

  • Locations with a history of fire incidents or known vulnerabilities.

  • Older buildings or structures that may not be up to current fire codes.

  • Local regulations or insurance providers that mandate the presence of fire services.
