Andrea and her company have worked hand-in-glove with us to produce a number of national sales events, beginning in 2011, with a budget of well over $1.5mm, and hosting thousands of attendees. We have not used any other event-planning vendor in this capacity since. As a $10 billion company, we could have easily chosen from any of a number of accomplished and more experienced event planners to help with our meetings. But something about Andrea Lyons made her the easiest – and most obvious – choice. She embodied the energy and enthusiasm of someone who was already a part of our organization. Yet, she possessed the undeniable confidence, creativity and financial prudence that would have been nearly impossible to replicate internally. Each opportunity that we’ve had to work with Andrea, our confidence in her abilities has increased. She continues to bring fresh, new ideas to our events and, amazingly, has also deftly managed to create a thriving minority-owned business under the auspices of continual margin compression at the vendor level.
