With the fall season approaching and some great wines that will be ready, this week we are going to showcase some cool products that you need for your next wine themed event!

Using wine bottles and cork as decor is a must!

Turn your empty wine bottles into candles with these wine cork candles:

Next, create place card holders and menu card holders using the corks from wine bottles. Start saving those corks now or purchase them online. However, if you decide to make your own, just be sure to plan in advance.

Love Love Love these wine gift tags! You can either create messages on the bottles, customize them with a name and date, or if you’re hosting a potluck wine party where everyone brings a bottle to try, place a fun tag on each bottle that would read “Blame Jim and Suzy if this Wine is Terrible”.

Give the gift that keeps on giving. Take a look at this keychain bar tools set! This bar tools keychain favor is a multi-purpose bar tool complete with retractable blades, corkscrew, bottle opener, metal chain and key ring—yet it’s barely bigger than a key!

Scottie Somers is really Living The Dream http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/08/16/scottie-somers-is-really-living-the-dream/ http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/08/16/scottie-somers-is-really-living-the-dream/#comments Mon, 16 Aug 2010 14:36:45 +0000 Alex http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/?p=738

In 2007, Scottie Somers founded “Living the Dream Foundation” with Hurley where its mission is to ‘make dreams come true for children with life-threatening afflictions while enriching their lives with the positive message and family of Living The Dream’.

Scottie was born with Cystic Fibrosis and has lived his life (43 years) in and out of hospitals. Scottie Somers has been very fortunate to be able to Live The Dream of “so many normal/non-afflicted people”.

Scottie took up playing the bass, and with his band LEFTY, was able to tour for almost 4 years with the following:   The Foo Fighters, NoDoubt, Lit, Good Charlotte, Fenix TX, Mest, Gold Finger, Unwritten Law, Blink 182, and many others.

A few years ago, Scottie called his good friend Bob Hurley to discuss the possibility of creating a foundation to help sick children. Now, just three years later, countless children have benefited from the efforts of the foundation.

Talk about really Living the Dream!

Professional Appetizers in 20 minutes http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/08/15/professional-appetizers-in-20-minutes/ http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/08/15/professional-appetizers-in-20-minutes/#comments Sun, 15 Aug 2010 21:38:20 +0000 Alex http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/?p=727

When people hire All About Presentation for event planning, in

many cases, selecting the caterer is our decision based on the budget of the client and the fact that we’ve tried and tasted so many caterers in town.

However, what do you do when you have a spur of the moment party, only 7-10 people? You may feel like this isn’t the time to call us but you would still like some great food recommendations.

Well, we are happy to introduce Appetizers to Go.

Featured in O Magazine, Newsweek, and The Today Show, Appetizers to Go provides handmade gourmet appetizers that are ready in 20 minutes.

—–

Upside: For small gatherings, these appetizers are fantastic. I really like the Luxe Line of appetizers which includes Cream Cheese Burger Slider w/Truffle Oil & Chive and Chicken Wellington. Also delicious is the Lobster Scampi Puff.

——-

Downside: There still is work involved in preparing these appetizers, not a lot of work, but still work. So, if you have a larger number of guests, this wouldn’t be the option I would choose.

—–

In summary, I really like Appetizers to Go because everything tastes so fresh. In fact, most orders are shipped overnight.

Check out the rest of their more than 150 appetizers online at: Appetizers to Go

The Dining Room – San Francisco http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/07/29/the-dining-room-san-francisco/ http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/07/29/the-dining-room-san-francisco/#comments Thu, 29 Jul 2010 10:46:21 +0000 Alex http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/?p=721

Do you desire an escape from the unbearable East Coast heat wave? How about a trip to the Golden Gate City where you can enjoy some beautiful landscapes and cooler breezes? Take a break from the heat and escape to the San Francisco’s luxurious Ritz Carlton Hotel. It’s a great time to experience this hotel’s five-star treatment, especially since it recently completed a $12.5 million renovation and now features 336 guestrooms and suites. After spending a day in the city, prepare to receive some serious pampering at the hotel’s exclusive Spa~De~Vie which offers a full menu of services including massages, facials, body treatments, manicure and pedicures.

You can expect nothing less than the best at the Ritz, especially when it comes to fine dining. San Francisco’s Ritz Carlton is home to the Forbes Five-Star establishment, The Dining Room, which is famous for its unique

blend of modern French cuisine as well as Japanese influences. Executive Chef Ron Siegel and his team of culinary experts strive to treat their guests to a royal dining treatment. The Chef’s Tasting Menu features a Hot Foie Gras with pickled cherry compote, brioche and strawberry juice with longpepper as well as Veal Tenderloin with fava beans, morel mushrooms, roasted potatoes and sancho pepper reduction.

If you have room for dessert after their large main course portions, Allison Sitch, the Senior Corporate Director for the Ritz Carlton Public Relations, suggests you try their Chocolate Manjari Cake with caramel and sea salt, teecino ice cream and toasted almond foam.

My taste buds are already watering just from typing this blog! Check out the Ritz Carlton website for more information on reservations.

Social Network Shout Out! http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/07/27/social-network-shout-out/ http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/07/27/social-network-shout-out/#comments Tue, 27 Jul 2010 10:27:07 +0000 Alex http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/?p=718

This week’s shout out goes to the world’s most popular social network. Congrats to Facebook who recently registered their 500,000,000th member!

So many people that I know have reunited with high school friends because of Facebook. In fact I know a pair of high school sweethearts that were separated when they went to collage, married other people, had children, got divorced, and now they have ended up back together as a blended family. In my opinion, this craze is the healthiest epidemic that has blessed this planet.

All About Presentation, along with so many other businesses, use facebook to keep in contact with our customers. In fact, there was a great article in the New York Times about how small businesses can use Facebook to market their business.

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, recently quoted that Facebook is “almost guaranteed” to reach one billion users!

If you haven’t already viewed Mark Zuckerberg’s amazing story on our blog, check it out!

Facebook — the American Dream http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/07/26/facebook-the-american-dream/ http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/2010/07/26/facebook-the-american-dream/#comments Mon, 26 Jul 2010 10:20:02 +0000 Alex http://allaboutpresentation.com/blog/?p=714

So there is this pretty cool social networking site called Facebook. Maybe you have heard of it? =) The visionary behind this technology epidemic is Mark Zuckerberg, and he is the youngest billionaire in the world with a net wealth of 4 billion dollars in 2010! Holy @!*$, talk about an entrepreneur!

To think, a little over five years ago, Mark Zuckerberg was enjoying his college years at Harvard. Now, he is reaping the rewards of his creative genius and intense dedication… rewards valued at 4 billion dollars. Zuckerberg officially launched Facebook from his Harvard dorm room on February 4, 2004. The idea for Facebook originated from his young school days at Phillips Exeter Academy where they cherished a long-standing tradition of publishing an annual student directory with headshot photos of all students, faculty and staff known as the “Facebook.” Facebook’s popularity quickly spread to other college campuses including Stanford, Yale, and Columbia.

Today Facebook has 500 million users, and it’s still continuing to grow at a rapid exponential rate. Watch out MySpace because Facebook is here to conquer!
